| 1 | Somewhere in the prefs, I should be able to set up which of my disks that are fast enough for my type of work. I always work in 10 bit uncompressed SDI (PAL), decklink codec. Often I import stuff from other disks or servers, and forget to move them to the fast SAN we use. FCP oftenb manage to play these clips, even from servers. But when the server or disk is offline, I loose my material. When importing files, FCP should check this list, and if I'm trying to import from something off the list, it should tell me and give me an option to 1) Cancel, 2) Go ahead anyway or 3) (Default) Copy material to my projects schratch disk folder and then import. This would save me tons of time every day! My #2 rated feature wish. My #3 wish: Make a prefs that makes it impossible to enter a new tape without naming it. "001" is not a cool number. All our tapes has an archives number, and users should be forced in some nice way to enter these, like the Avid Media Composer does. |

Everyone seems to ask for this. When you want video to not look like video, adding grain is the first step. ·Paint features. Audio: ·The ability to lengthen a sound clip in time without changing its pitch. So when you do F9/F10 and then zoom in to see what you've done you don't end up zooming Canvas like now. 8. Toggle-able source timeline. 9. Up-down arrows should stop at head and tail or just heads or just tails. 10. Field/frame freeze so this whole jitter at freeze in PAL is eliminated. And "interpret fields" feature for sequences. 11. Effects. Paste effect should replace like effect not add one more of the same. Or this behaviour could be switchable.
