From John: My presentation will focus on the workflow gains from using a program like Virtual Katy applied to the indie filmmaker who is not printing film or is shooting in HD or DV so cannot use change notes generated from Avid or FCP. I believe Virtual Katy can offer the indie filmmaker the way to integrated picture and sound editing to create truly non linear editing. 9:30PM - 9:40PM - Music Video - Show and Tell - Ryan Laslofy From Ryan: Well, when I booked this show and tell, I did not know that it would be the last one at what has become our "home" at the LA film school. None the less I am privileged to show some of my work on the big screen. My name is Ryan and I am a student of Larry Jordan's down here in Orange County at Fullerton College. Last year we had a project that was to make a music video. As September was right around the corner, I decided to do a patriotic video on September 11. Remember right after the attacks? How many flags did you see? How many did you see today? I have gathered footage from the past few years and compiled it to remind people of the local reaction here in Fullerton, hopefully so that they will "Never Forget". Hope you enjoy. 9:40PM - 9:50PM - Show and Tell 9:50PM - 10:00PM - World Famous Raffle Copy of "DVD Studio Pro" by Bruce Nazarian- McGraw-Hill Publishing Copy of Virtual Katy - Virtual Katy Various Books - Peachpit Press DV Matte Pro FCP - DV Garage Copies of Speed Truck Challenge - Darren Purcell Copies of DPed, Kel Videos Live (This Face Belongs on the Tube & Is That the Mitchell's Boy?) - Kenn Michael Instant Boris Effects - CMP Books 5 $20.00 Gift Certificates - Paquito Mas Restaurants Copy of Color Correction for FCP -DigitalFilm Tree Copy of DVDxDVPro - DVDxDV FCP Keyboard KeyGuide - Neotron Design Copy of Zoom -in DVD - Magnet Media Copy of Inside FCP -HD - Magnet Media FREE 2 day workshop for FCP or Motion or FCP Advanced or DVDSP 3 - DVCreators.net Copy of Motion PowerStart - DVCreators.net A copy of LiveType PowerStart - DVCreators.net Copy of DV Enlightenment - DVCreators.net SheerVideo Pro Codec -http://www.bitjazz.com Copy of Final Draft and Final Draft AV - Final Draft 2 Royalty Free Stock Footage CDs - ThinkStock Footage Killer Titles for Live Type and Calligraphy - Intelligent Assistance Practical Color Correction For FCP - Intelligent Assistance 1 T-shirt - kenstone.net Copy of the Feb lafcpug meeting with Walter Murch -lafcpug
