7:40PM - 7:50PM - "Mixers" Beth McElhenny -Show and Tell
"Mixers" was shot on 16mm, edited via MiniDV on FCP3. I wrote/directed/edited this project, but got a tremendous amount of help and wonderful actors (3 or 4) who may show up at the meeting on the 25th, too.
Logline: Spring has sprung, at it's time for the annual apartment get together.  So quench your curiosity and meet your neighbors. 1 part barbecue, 1 part get together, and a box of wine --- shake and enjoy."

9:25 - 9:40PM - "PhotoShop techniques to FCP" - Dale Ellis
Apple's Dale Ellis will show us a couple techniques using Photoshop to create effects and then bring into FCP. From Dale:
"One involves separating and animating elements within a static photograph to create the illusion of movement. This effect was used extensively in the
documentary of Producer Robert Evans' life, "The Kid Stays in the Picture." It's a neat alternative to the Ken Burns pan-and-scan effect.
The other effect allows you to to create titles or graphics that you can not only cut out to reveal another layer of video but to add INSIDE drop shadows to the cutout (something nearly impossible with FCP alone.)"

9:40 - 9:50PM - "True Human as the Hanged Man" - Daniel Foster -Show and Tell
"True Human as the Hanged Man" was commissioned as a stand-alone theatrical projection for Zu Blanchard's one-man show, The True Human. Directed and created by Daniel Foster/Eye Awake Studio.
