Tim Dashwood will demonstrate how to output & record timecode from JVC's GY-HD250 and play it back from an ipod for use in perfect lip-sync TC slave for a music video shoot. The multiples tapeless takes will then be instantly synced into a multiclip for Final Cut Pro multicam editing.

- 7:45PM - 8:05PM -
Adobe - Steve Martin - "Using Production Premium to enhance Final Cut Studio workflow."
Steve will show you how to use Photoshop CS 3's to clone and heal pixels in your video (that's right, Photoshop does video!) You'll also learn how to use Illustrator's amazing Live Color feature which allows you to interactively change the color of any vector artwork and have the changes update in Final Cut Pro. Finally, Steve will show you how to use After Effect's Brainstorm to generate killer animated backgrounds you can use in Motion, Final Cut Pro or DVD Studio Pro.

You can read about this school and the Marines, in this NY Times article.

- 8:30PM - 9PM - Break

- 9:00PM - 9:20PM - Blackmagic Design - M. Dot Strange -
"We are the Strange"
From M. Dot Strange
We Are The Strange "CAse Study"
Why I did what I did: What my rationale was for creating an animated feature alone...what I thought it would do for my filmmaking career etc
How I did it: What techniques and tech I used.. What I learned from it: What I will do next time...What I won't do next time... Limitations/advantages of animation microstudio production when it comes to festival, distribution etc....

- 9:20 - 9:35PM - Red Digital Cinema - Ted Schilowitz and the Red Team
Footage from Red shooters from around the world will be shown, and the usual RED surprises are bound to happen...

-
9:35PM - 9:45PM -The Scariest "Editing" Tool You Will Ever See" - Philip Hodgetts
It's 6pm, and you get a call from your producer: she absolutely, positively has to have the first cut by 11am the next day to show some potential investors. Trouble is, you've been staring at an empty timeline for the best part of the last week, fiddling with a few ideas where clips threw themselves at each other, but generally, you haven't got a lot done yet. Are you doomed? Or is there hope...
