***1. NEXT LACPUG MEETING

and

lacpug Meets are once again sponsored by Blackmagic Design
and DigitalFilm Tree and we are grateful.

March 24 Meet is Cancelled

Well, we had a really good meet set for March 24, but alas the world decided to
go get itself a virus. So call this edition of the lacpug news, the Coronavirus
edition. Sigh.

The mayor of LA has ordered all city owned theaters closed until at end of April
and that means the Gallery Theatre has shut its doors. Like all of you I am stuck
at home and home looks like where we will be for quite some time.

So what's next? I don't know yet. I am and will be speaking to many smart
people about live streaming, even though lacpug is all about face to face
networking. Obviously live streaming is not an ideal solution, but it’s at least
a small way of keeping connected, to keep learning and staying productive.
I need your ideas on where to go from here, so write me if you have any.
And there are no stupid ideas.

It’s vitally important you keep learning and creating. I will be posting “Articles
and Things you need to Read and Do,” (read below) almost daily on the lacpug
Facebook and Twitter feed, and once a month sending out this newsletter.
If you want to stay caught up on what is going on in this now digital world, then
follow along.

Let’s all just keep exercising good common sense and hygiene. Stay away from
others including friends and stay close with family. We need your talents now
more than ever and we need you healthy.

***5. SPONSOR LACPUG

Lacpug needs another Meeting Sponsor. Desperately. We may not be able
to finish out the year if I can't find someone. Expenses have risen
significantly over the past few months due to a myriad of reasons and I
need another sponsor to cover these new expenses. Currently Blackmagic
Design and DigitalFilm Tree generously cover our meetings. If you know
of a company who might like to be part of this community, let me know.
I’m searching hard, but I can use your help. Write me.

See you sometime in the future. In meantime, keep creative.

Peace- and bless you Ralph, Charles, Doug, Mik, Pete, Bruce and Norm.
