***1. NEXT LACPUG MEETING

and

lacpug Meets are once again sponsored by Blackmagic Design and DigitalFilm Tree and we are grateful.

Avid, Reduct and Motion

Join us Wednesday, July 24 for another spectacular and informative and
explosive lacpug Meet.

We welcome Michael Krulik from Avid who will show off the brand new reimagined Media Composer 2019.

Also, Asheesh Laroia from Reduct. Video. Reduct. Video claims "the
pain of video editing is a thing of the past. Our text-based video editor
empowers anyone who can write a text document to become a video
creator." We shall see.

Also very happy to have Larry Jordan back at lacpug after much too long a
time. Larry will show tricks you can do with Motion that don’t require any
design skills. Plus, he’ll show how to use Motion projects in Avid, Premiere
and Final Cut. Learn once - use everywhere!

Plus Stump the Gurus and World Famous Raffle.

***3. ARTICLES AND THINGS YOU NEED TO READ AND DO

WATCH: 5 Ways External Hard Drives Waste Time in Editing If you are
editing a project with a team, external hard drives can waste a lot of your
time. Copying media between drives, finding which file is on which drive,
cabling, relinking media and cataloging drives can eat up a lot of time.

***5. SPONSOR LACPUG

Lacpug needs another Meeting Sponsor. Desperately. We may not be able
to finish out the year if I can't find someone. Expenses have risen
significantly over the past few months due to a myriad of reasons and I
need another sponsor to cover these new expenses. Currently Blackmagic
Design and DigitalFilm Tree generously cover our meetings. If you know
of a company who might like to be part of this community, let me know.
I’m searching hard, but I can use your help. Write me.

See you July 24 at the next lacpug Meet.

Peace- and bless you Ralph, Charles, Doug, Mik, Pete, Bruce and Norm.
