***3. ARTICLES AND THINGS YOU NEED TO READ AND DO

On Tuesday, Aug 27 at 11:30AM PDT join me and Chris Meyer for another FREE
Moviola Filmmaking webinar.

“From Still Frames to Fine Art.”
Many of us wish we were more "creative" in our jobs. Exactly what that means may range from wishing you were a better graphic designer, to hoping your client or boss would give you more creatively challenging jobs (and pay you accordingly), to feeling more fulfilled in your job and life. He also shares how he creates his own art, using some of the same tools he uses in his "day" job including Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop.

***4. “STAR WARS” EDITORS TO APPEAR AT AMSTERDAM SUPERMEET

Only 3 weeks until the Amsterdam SuperMeet

We are very excited to announce that Maryann Brandon, ACE and Mary Jo Markey, ACE, the editors of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII, will be our featured keynote speakers at the Amsterdam SuperMeet on Sunday, 14 September!

Both Ms. Brandon and Ms. Markey are best known as long time collaborators
with director J. J. Abrams. The pair has co-edited all of Abrams' feature
films including MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III, SUPER 8 and 2009's STAR TREK INTO
DARKNESS. Their latest collaboration with Abrams is STAR WARS: EPISODE VII,
currently shooting in London.

Ms. Markey and Ms. Brandon will both show a before and after scene from STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS and SUPER 8 and we will discuss. There will be time for questions.

Tickets are on sale online only now for the really cheap price of €15,00 Euros each for adults (plus ticket fee) and €10,00 Euros each for Students and Teachers. Buy your tickets now as they will be €20.00 at the door.

This SuperMeet will once again be the largest gathering of Final Cut, Avid,
Adobe, Autodesk and digital filmmakers during IBC week. This is going to be
a great show.

What’s on the rest of the agenda? It’s SuperSecret, but we can tell you this; There will be USER driven presentations from Blackmagic Design, Adobe, iZotope, Atomos and HP. What will they show? We don't know, but we do know it's something we have never seen.

Rounding out the evening will be the seemingly endless World Famous Raffle where we will give away once again, thousands of Euros worth of prizes to dozens of lucky winners. The current value as of this writing is over €26,000.

Keep watching this page for daily updates and register now!
