uncompressed dv

hi to all,
what is the best way to get uncompressed shoots from betacam sp to my computer? I want to do some chromakeying but shoots that I digitize via firewire is compressed to dv pal so I have lot of artefacts around...
I already read lot of posts here about that matter but nothing newest.
I have G5 dp 2.5 and FCPStudio and no capturing card that, I supose, will help me do this job.
If you have some suggestions for not wery expensive capturing card I would apriciate some help.

I guess we all want to know how you are getting beta into FCP via Firewire. Need a capture card my friend

I guess like most of people, trough Dv player.
And yes I know my friend that I need capture card.
The question is what tipe of capture card. I know that you are "spoiled" there in USA with zillion stores but here in Croatia we dont have one.
General idea was to here from professionals is there some card for around $500-600 and which is best for uncompressed.
I did some googling and find Decklink SD for $300.
Hope that my bad english is not too offensive.

well, on the internet, there are 3 to look into:

BlackMagic,

AJA Kona card
(there's also the AJA iO in/out box, but that's overkill for what you need)

Aurora Pipe

they've all got super-basic SDI versions.

pick the one with the most of what you like,
or the cheapest, if you like that more.

And find the one with dealers closest to you.

I ordered BlackMagic in Italy. Price is 420 euro.
Hope that will satisfy my needs.
