OT: who remembers QT VR???Posted by wayne granzin
ok, heres a blast from the past. i just got a call (yeah 8:30 sat night - welcome to my world!) from a new client who wants to do fully rendered quicktimeVR-ish walkthroughs from autocad files.
anyone have any ideas how to pull this off? notice it says "download qt5" which tells me this really hasnt been addressed in a while. can anyone point me to any reources for the current state of such things...??? thanks - wG
Do you mean something like this, Wayne?
[www.ikea.com] I got there from this website: [www.canada.com] This is Flash Animation, though, but as far as Virtual Reality, damn!! ;-)
You're welcome, Michael!!
The technogeek came across it in his internet travels last week. I saw it briefly out of the corner of my eye and thought it was waaaaayyyyy cool, but didn't think to ask him for the link. I can't believe I actually found it in under 90 seconds!! Yay, Google! ;-)

Everytime they release an ipod or mac there is a QTVR of it on their site. Isn't there stitching in iPhoto or Photoshop CS?
You may try the FBX converter and the QT plug-in from Alias. They are free=)
[www.alias.com] However, you do need a supported 3D program for import the Autocad file. For create a multi-node QTVR project, they are always the winner... [www.totallyhip.com] But, if you need a fast and easy solution go to here... [www.clickheredesign.com.au] Have Fun, Antonio
