Question:
After we've captured the footage (supposedely shot in 24p Normal) and put it through Cinema Tools to remove the pulldown, we can see very slight vertical lines across the image -- they're more visible between dark and light areas, and of course the larger the image is on screen.
- We are using the NTSC Easy Setting 29.97fps to capture the 24p Normal footage (as this short is gonna get a film output).
- We then put the footage through Cinema Tools to do the pulldown (the "Cinema Tools Reverse Telecine" option in FCP5).
What is going on?
