Best Video Card for FCP5 Studio and Aperture?

Posted by Jim Lindsay
I'm going to need to upgrade the standard Nvidia GeForce 5200 AGP card that came with my Dual 2 G5 last year to use Aperture. Any thoughts on which higher level cards have proved best for Final Cut 5 Studio using two Apple Cinema Displays? There's several cards from ATI and NVidia listed as Aperture compatible, just thought I might as well choose one that would also give me better performance with the whole FCP5 studio, including Motion.
Thanks ... Jim

The ATI X800 would probably be your best bet.

I'll second the X800. Because Graeme Nattress uses it with the smae machine you are and it works fine.

There's some automator actions for it. I've not looked as to it's applescript status or not. I'm doubting that there's much useful for scripters in it though.... No plugins as far as I can see, either.
