Film Sprocket & Burnt Film Effects

I'm trying to take a clip in FCP and make it look like it has gotten caught in the projector. The film sprockets break from the gears and slide across the screen, causing shutter and blur of the image. Finally, the film 'burns' in the projector.

Any ideas out there folks?
