Time code connection

Hi,
I,m an editor down here in New Zealand, have just come over from avid after 12 years, doing my first FC job, here's the problem. Have make a selected takes sequences, then put this into the viewer and started a new sequence, when i pull shots from the selected the TC only matches to the sequence code of the selected sequence, not the oridginal code of the rushes, how can i remedy this problem

Sounds like you're cutting little bits of your nested sequence. You should pull the shots from the sequence containing the selected takes, and paste them into your edit.
