Hi all,
I'm Luca from Milan, Italy.

For several years I have used the easy way to achive a classy film-look of Shawn Bockoven with DV footage, as explained at the bottom of this URL:

Now I have a imported in FCP HD a TGA sequence 1440x1080 (shot with a Sony PAL HDV 1080i camera) but the above method seems not to work.

If it could be of any use, please find a frame of my movie, converted to .jpg, at this URL:

Any advice on how easyly to "Bockoven-ize" 1080i?

Thank you in advance for your interest and time

_luca

Luca, i dont know enough about HDV to help with that.

but i can tell you that that is not the "easy" way!

here is one filter that does what that 2001 article describes:

Too Much To Soon "Blend Fields"

using this will save you a lot of time!

if you get some $$ to spend (you wont need many!), check out Graeme Nattresses "Film Effects"

Film Effects at www.nattress.com works great with HDV footage. I have no idea why the old tricks are not working for you - they should still work.
