Pricing on Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium

Is there any type of special pricing besides the upgrade price on CS2 Premium? Some kind of education discount? I don't have any previous version of Adobe apps, but now I need Photoshop and GoLive and I don't want to pay $1200. There's some good deals on eBay, but I'm afraid those are mostly fakes or copies.
