OT: In memoriam Bob Turner

Charlie White brings the sad news of Bob Turner's passing. I never knew him personally - but I certainly read enough of his clear and well thought out articles.

He was the dean of content creation journalism, and we will all miss his wit and insight.

God be with you and your loved ones Bob.

I first met Bob when he assisted me in one of the first CMX suites in New York, back in the late seventies. He was a great assistant and a joy to work with. He had a big bear of a heart.

Over the years, I looked forward to seeing him at NAB and to reading his columns and reviews.

My heart goes out to his wife and kids. He was a mench.

Bob was a major major part of our local New England SMPTE chapter and was just a dedicated guy. Last saw him just a couple months ago, helping host a NAB wrapup.

Very sad indeed. He shall be missed.
