Boris FX Continuum Complete, worth the money?

Posted by Michael Escher
I'm thinking of buying a set of plugins. What do you all think of Boris FX Continuum Complete for the $$$?

Thanks ahead of time for your help and experience.

Best,

What do you hope to do?

I'm a long standing fan of Boris. I use both Red and AE. I use Red more.

If you don't have those - I'd advise those over a filter pack for general production work and multiple clients. As full sets of filters and effects go, BCC is one hell of a pack. I'll be the first to admit there are much better lens flares that BCC.

Other folk, such as Graeme Nattress offer smaller (cheaper)-high quality filter packs that meet individual needs . See the LAFCPUG store for more info [www.lafcpug.org]
There are 14 day trial versions at
[www.borisfx.com]
Try them out. I like the Boris stuff.
Just a note of caution:

I use BCC and it works fine in FCP5 but does not keyframe in Motion 2 as it did in Motion 1. I think they are addressing this though. Tom
