Hey guys how do i rip DVD footage? any shareware to recommend? Ever heard of the macintosh programme "Popcorn"?

MPEG Streamclip can convert DVD footage. However, it can't break copyright protection encoding. We don't condone piracy in here, so make sure you're not trying to duplicate commercial DVDs -- buying a DVD at a store does not entitle you to make copies.

you need to "rip" it first. i use mactheripper. its successful on about 90% of commercial titles.
then use either mpegstreamclip or DVDxDV to get that into a form FCP can see.

but as derek says, any advice given here assumes you have secured the rights to the material - we aint about pirating movies around here!
