Music in animation

Hi,

Im currently making an animated short film and am now matching the animated moods with carefully selected music.

The most effective sounds seem to be strings instruments and orchestras etc (think looney tunes).

However the film is a modern tale, and will require a more modern taste in music.

What I would like to know is if there is a list of all the current public domain songs that can be used freely.

Check out www.soundtracklounge.com for stuff people have made in soundtrack. Many are willing to share their music for films.

Or you could give soundtrack a shot yourself. It's a very liberating experience!
