I've done this job for six years, never had audio problems. Going from FCP 4.5 via decklink and SDI - I get the odd audio problem in that a channel is losing volume. When I print to tape every setting on the computer and on the front of the Digi beta deck is spot on. This is only recent but I am not getting perfect audio when I play the finished tape back. A tech said make sure your input and output knobs are pushed in so they go to preset and unplug the SDI cable otherwise when the deck is idle you will not get true audio....He said you really need a Black burst generator for precision online. I just am not sure and am filled suddenly with self doubt...Your humble student...thanks.
