Which Mini DvTapes are good for XL2?

Hi Guys,

I have a choice to pick from different brands of mini dv tapes. From most expensive to least expensive.
There is Sony, Panasonic, TDK, JVC and Maxell. Meaxell is really expensive.
TDK and Panasonic are the least expensive ones but will these work well with the Canon XL2?
Also, where can I buy these tapes for less in a bulk?

I've used Sony, Panasonic and Fuji for years without issues. Where to buy? Are you based in L.A.? Edgewise Media is a very popular spot for picking up tape stock.

If you shop online, check out www.tapestockonline.com for good prices on bulk orders of mini DV tape. I have always been more than happy with Sony tapes for the GL-1 and XL-1.

If you want TDK - try Costco - they have like an 8 pack for $20
