Powerbook hard disk rpm

Hello,

I am currently eyeing off one of the new powerbooks to edit with FCP amongst other things and noticed that the ULTRA ATA hard disk speed is 5400 rpm. With an option to upgrade to a 7200 rpm.

In light of much advice for external disks to be 7200 rpm does the PB also require it?

cheers

as a rule, always opt for the faster drive.

and just get you a good external firewire drive and you'll be fine.

i edit in the field with an older 1ghz 17" powerbook with one gig ram and an external promax firewire400 drive and ive never missed a beat
