Playback viewing "strobing"

OS: Tiger
G4 733/512 SDRAM PC133
HD: Glyph NetDrives 180 GB (firewire external)
FCP 4.0
DV capture (firewire)

Everything worked ok... but suddenly the video playback became "strobing" (on the computer monitor) and when monitoring on the external DV device, there's no playback at all, it just shows the still frame of the last cursor point. There's no monitoring of scrubbing cursor on the external device either. Only when I "stop" (leave the cursor) it outputs this "last" frame to the external device. I'm sure this is not a machine-performance problem, neither the DV device, because I also use the iMovie, and there's no problem at this point. Please help.

Go to View Menu and select External Video > All Frames

thank you... but "all frames" is selected, and the problem persists.

Try clicking on the % sign above the CANVAS window and selecting FIT TO WINDOW.

Drop in again any time. The more the merrier especially if you do sound. Any ideas on that sound sync problem up at the top of the forum?
