FCP crashes on launch

I had FCP 5 running on a 12" powerbook 1.33 ghz..All of a sudden, it starts crashing on launch, after the splash screen. I've tried reinstalling the program and repairing permissions, to no avail. I'm trying to avoid reinstalling OSX because it's too much of a drag...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..Thanks...

Is it trying to open a corrupt project perhaps? Try moving all your linked media to a different location, or removing the drive if it's an external and then starting up.

If you can get it open, start a new project and see if you can open FCP from that.

Did you trash your preferences? I had a similar problem the other day on my 15" PB. Did the same things you have done, to no avail. Then I trashed prefs, and it loaded up fine.
