New mac intel chip

I am receiving my new mac pro book laptop with an intel chip tomorrow!

I am new to FCP and have shot a short film that I will start logging...
My question is,
1. Which version of FCP works with the intel chip?
2. Can I use the current version or must I wait until the new one comes out
in April??

You will have to wait until the universal binary version ships. The current version wont work.

No version works with it now. At the end of this month a new version will ship that will work on this Mac. If you do not own FCP now, then you need to purchse the version of Final Cut Studio that will run on Intel. Check the Apple Store at end of this month. If you do own a copy of FCP then you can upgrade to the new Universal Binaries version by going here

You can no longer buy FCP by itself. You must buy Final Cut Studio or upgrade to Final Cut Studio
