how to accelerate frames with QuickTime Pro

Hi:

I'm not an FCP user but a Mac tech with an end user who want her 10 second segment to play over just 2-3 seconds. She tried, in Quicktime, exporting to 120 frames per second, but this didn't compress all the frames into just 2-3 seconds, it just made the movie longer.

She doesn't have FCP, just iMovie and QuickTime Pro. Does anyone know who to do this in either of those programs?

Also, if there is a better place to post this question I'd appreciate directions to there instead. Thanks in advance.
