Matte point inaccuracies

I just moved over to a new post facility running Quad G5's with blackmagic cards and FCP 5.0 on them and I have noticed that all 7 bays all have a weird quirk, that I don't think I've ever seen before.

If you create an 8 point garbage matte and try to adjust the points in the canvas. The visual cross-hair is not accurate. I know that if a clip is repositioned or scaled up that they wont line up, but for a normal clip, I always thought it was dead on. On all 7 bays, they are off.

Any ideas?

Not in front of FCP now but it sounds like you found a bug. Tried another garbage matte such as one from CHV? The Bezier Garbage Mattte $45

Yeah I see this too, definitely something odd going on.

I've noticed it is exponential to the center of the frame. That is, the center is dead on, but as you move away from it the space grows larger. This also aplies to 3rd party plugins like Boris, but not my Tom's filters 50 point Bezier Matte.

Which really brings up my biggest beef - when is FCP going to have a decent vector matte tool?
