I have been using magic Bullet Editors 1.0 for while through FCP to do color and look tweaking. All of a sudden FCP (5.0.4) is telling me:

"AE Effects Error:
Unable to find "MB Look Suite FCP".
Do you wish to load plugin from another directory?"

I am pretty sure that I have been using the effects through this same setup, same version of FCP and all, for awhile, without any significant changes.

I should say too that when I open the Look Suite project that comes on the MB install disk, wherein you get the suite of presets, I can open all the presets and fiddle with their sliders. It's when I drag the effect to a movie file in the sequence that I get the above message.

I've tried deleting all my prefs, deleting and reinstalling Magic Bullet; using DiskWarrior; and repairing permissions. I have also reinstalled FCP HD (4.5) to see if that fixed it, but no, same error in 4.5 as in 5. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance! I'm on deadline, and all insights will be appreciated.

Is the Look Suite physically inside your FCP 5 'Plugins' folder? That's all I can think of.

My FCP5 on my G5 does the same thing every now and then with not finding filters.

I quit and open/launch again a minute later, and no errors.

Extremely annoying.
