The answer lies in not shooting PROGRESSIVE, but rather interlaced. If you do shoot Progressive, then make sure you PAN SLOWLY | ZOOM SLOWLY etc.. You see, instead of 2 different fields per frame, both fields look the same, so the changes between frames are more apparent. This is seen when you pan too fast. you get 'jerky' pans... I would venture to say that you probably can't do too much with that footage now that the 'damage' is done...
