canvas & viewer frozen

Hello,

I am having a rather strange situation. When I play a clip in the viewer or a sequence in the canvas, the image does not move, but catches up to where the playhead is when it stops. Also-but, there is a moving image in my external NTSC monitor, which is fed from the firewire out to my DV deck, when a clip in the viewer or a sequence in the canvas are played. Why would this be? How can I correct this? Thanks.

Operating System: Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Check to make sure the display size of both the Viewer and the Canvas is set to Fit to Window or smaller.

When I set the canvas to Fit to Window it automaticall sets to 80% and when I set the viewer to Fit to Window it automaticall sets to 59%. Still no movement. Why is this?
