large project crash

I'm working on a very large project that keeps crashing FCP. The drive is not near capacity and there should be sufficient RAM. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a corrupt project file. Open up your backup file and see what happens.

Two possible problems:

You have this whole thing on one System Drive which a large number of people think is a really bad idea, or there's plenty of room on the Media Drive, but your little internal System Drive is filling up.

Either or both of those will cause very unfortunate problems.
