Advanced garbage matte anyone?

Question:

I am a FCP 4.5HD user and I am working on an intricate project which requires a detailed matte. I need to add more points to the 8-point garbage matte currently available. Is this possible?

You can download plugs with more points. You can also add a second iteration of the garbage matte, but you may have to invert it to do what you want.

BTW, if you were using FC Studio, we would suggest Motion.

Tom Henderson has a free 50 point Bezier matte: [homepage.mac.com]. Might be just what you're looking for.
