subclips

hi.... on a project i am editing in fcp5, the dp dumped all the original clips from the HD camera onto a firewire drive as QT files. i have access to them, but would like to build a clip library in the browser. the dp's files are 15 minutes worth of video each. i am looking to be able to make clips of individual takes.... what's the easiest way for me to set in and out points and create clips that i can organize in a project?

This is why you log and capture from the get go.

Load the clip into the Viewer, Mark IN, mark OUT...hit APPLE U.

WARNING...subclips are dangerous. Relinking issues galore, which is why I never advocate them. Log and capture individual scenes and takes from the start and you will be golden.
