print to tape

i'm having a problem printing a sequence to tape. I've set the dvx100 to vcr mode, have the tape cued, set my marker to the begining of the timeline, gone in to file-print to video- pressed both buttons on the cam (vcr-record) when prompted, then clicked OK..... the playback on the screen plays, but nothing in the camera.... and i've checked the comminucation between comp and cam by setting up a log and capture just to check the connection. HELP!

Check to make sure View - External Video is set to All Frames.

And Edit to Tape is a more reliable way to output.
