Len Flare Filter

Hey All,

Can someone walk me thru the use of the lens flare filter in FCP? I must be using it wrong. Also, does anyone have a good way to reference the FCP filters, what they do, and how they work?

The lens flare filtr has never worked well if at all. There is one in QT Player Pro thats OK. CGM makes a good one. Knoll Light factory is best.

How the filters work and how to use them are best explained in the manual

Use shake or the simpler application After Effects if you have it handy.
These programs are made for that type of effect whereas FCP is not.

There's also a nice Lens Flare filter and transition in Nattress Set 2.

The native lens flare is not all that great even when you can figure it out. But it does do some pretty weird pattern generation that is interesting. A heavy render though.

I'm a Knoll fan myself. Awesome amount of presets.
