Hello to all,

I need to supply Closed Captioning with a .wav file. How do I do export a .wav file from my FCP timeline?

As always, thanks in advanced.

Peace,

Export from FCP as an AIFF file...stereo mix. Then use iTunes to convert to a WAV file. In the importing preferences set the importer to WAV, then when you select the audio in iTunes and go to the ADVANCED menu, you can choose CONVERT TO WAV

I'm pretty sure you can do WAVs straight from the timeline or Viewer. Export - Using QuickTime Conversion, Format - Wave.
