Copying piece of sequence into other

hi!

I am trying to copy part of a sequence into another and when i do so it changes the ratio of the video...I am working with HD on a new Mac Pro...does anyone know how to duplicate or copy a select part of the sequecne into another without loosing the same aspect???

as far as i know thats gonna happen unless the two sequences have the same aspect ratio

You can readjust the aspect in the motion tab under 'distort'. So if it comes in wrong, double click it to laod it into the viewer, choose the 'motion' tab at the top of the viewer, click the black twirl down arrow next to 'distort' and use 33.33, 0, or -33.33 to adjust the aspect.
