I have this clip where a cough takes place in the background. it is clear and last exactly 2 frames. i could send it to soundtrack but wit it being so clean i would like to cut it out in fcp.
so i loaded the clip into the view and isolated my frame and learned that you cant use the blade tool in the viewer window.
i am lo on disk space and i am saving every gig for fcp project. i dont want to use sound track for something as simple as this. so i am looking for a fcp solution for this other than time line zoom and cut which i will probly do. i just wanted to know some other work arounds for this function.

thanx

In the viewer or timeline use keyframes to drop the audio down during the cough. Or replace it with similar room tone.

Yeah - you can use the pen tool in the viewer window. You can actually get down to 1/100th of a frame in the viewer if you need to.
