audio track to timecode (TC) function

Hello,

I am a sound angineer working with a Aaton Cantar Harddiskrecorder.
I'm working on a project with small Sony handicams lacking professional TC-functions.
I would like the audio and video to be in Sync.
I send auditive timecode to one audiochannel of both the small cameras.

To edit in sync, I would like the TC-audiosignal on the video to become the auxiliary timecode after importing the video in FCP.
(Avid has this function: audiotrack to timecode)
Is there a function available in FCP that can make TC out of an audio track?

Does it exist in FCP 5? And does it exist in older FCP versions (since not every editing company has an upgrade already).

If not. Is there a way to work around that problem?

thanks

Hi!

Check out Andreas Kiel's BWF2XML tool on his site. www.spherico.com
It should do what you want.

Time Tools... sounds interesting, but where can I find it? (Developer or website?)
And how does it work? As a plug -in for FCP or standalone?
