Backing Up FCP 5.0.x to send in for FCP 5.1.x

Yes I've searched and no I could not find the answer.

When backing up FCP 5.0.x (FCS) using Disk Utility, when making the Disk Image should one use Read Only OR DVD/CD Master? The later says "bit for bit" copy to used with 3rd Party Application.

I'm not sure which will give me a backup I can use should something happen while the discs are in transit.

Either will work.

After you make the images you can test them by opening them up.

I've tried both. They both work but DVD/CD master does seem to open faster. Of course I've actually tried to install them but I'll take your word for it.

I did dig around and saw your post on the Apple Support Discussion forum. You mentioned using the indented version. I've been using the unindented version so I suspect that may not make a difference either but do tell if I'm mistaken.
