Hello everyone,

My timeline playhead has a one frame extension on it so that when I go to mark an in point it marks exactly where I want it to, but then when I go to mark an out point the playhead marks the out point one frame ahead of where I placed the playhead.

I don't know how I set the playhead like this and I was wondering how I set it back to normal?

Or is this normal and did I just never notice this before?

The outpoint always includes the frame your playhead is parked on. This is the way that FCP works, and Avid...most NLEs to my recollection.

You don't happen to come from a linear tape-to-tape background do you?

Mark Out, go back one frame, and your edit points are correct.

Don't worry that you did not know this, it's rather esoteric. But if you wish to know all this "little stuff", get thyself into an Apple Certified training course to fill in those gray areas.
