hd finishing workflow for broadcast

hi,

i'm about to go for an assistant position for a show that finishes hd. i've never worked on a show that does such. is there anybody out there that can give me an idea of the standard finishing workflow for a standard hd program? is it the same as usual and they just make and hd and sd master instead of an sd or is it much more involved than that?

Sorry to break it to you, but there is no "standard" when it comes to HD. There are so many factors that it makes the head swim.

What format are you shooting? What frame rate?
What format will you be delivering? What frame rate?
What codec will you be capturing?
Will you be downconverting? To what?
What edit system will you be using for the offline? The online?
Standard offline/online workflow, or something different?

These are questions the Post Supervisor and the editor will know.
