Work flow Article using the Panasonic Varicam

Hello,

I'm helping a friend edit a short shot with a Panasonic Varicam. I have not worked with this camera, and i was hoping to find a good work flow article on the internet that could walk me step by step in importing, cuting, and exporting out the footage. Any suggestions?

I'm running FCP 5.1 on a 17" Mac Book Pro.

thanks so much in advance,
DR Ceballos

First, read this:

Second...read my blog...from the beginning:

www.lfhd.net

Third...well, THIS is first, actually...what is your intended delivery format?

Thanks so much for Vericam Cam Article on Ken's website, that was EXACTLY what i was looking for. a clear step by step workflow for the Vericam

As for final format, I believe the producer of the short wants to master to HD either on DV CAM or Digi Beta, and give out SD dvds.

Thanks so much for the help Shane.....i mean The DUDE (great nickname by the way)

DVCAM and Digibeta are not HD formats...so, they are not options. They are SD formats.

HD mastering formats are DVCPRO HD, D5, HDCAM and HDCAM SR.
