DVDxDV Surreal Sound Problem

We tried to use two of our three licenses of DVDxDV (1.09) to rip a PAL client's reference DVD video for use in a demo reel. We couldn't get it to work but it took me in a quiet room with extra strong coffee to figure out what happened.

The video would emerge in perfect order, but the sound would be a second or two of trash/noise followed by dead silence. The clip was about one minute.

After a lot of inspection and repeated playing, we determined that the blast of noise was really the entire minute-long audio track being played fast like its pants were on fire.

Two completely different machines did the same thing, one Panther/FCP4.5/QT6, and the other Tiger/FCP5/QT7.

What the frog....?

1.09 is pretty old. 1.32 is the latest version. Please contact support@dvdxdv.com
