Is there a way to automate a frame grab from the time line, I am looking to grab every 80th frame, with out have to do it by hand. Thank you for your time

Don't think so -- perhaps our programming-minded members will have a recommendation for that. But to go to every 80th frame is easy. Simply type +80 on the number pad and your playhead will jump there.

export your timeline as a reference move.
re-import,
drop it in a timeline, and speed it up by 8000%

now export as an image sequence.
(file menu > export > using quicktime conversion)

with the speed up there's a slight catch:
for it to work perfectly, the original duration (in frames) has to be evenly divisible by 80.
you may want to take that into consideration before you export,
by adding some slug to make it the appropriate number of frames.

btw, i tried doing this by speeding a nest of the original seq, but it sort of worked, but not exactly.
1st frame was frame 80, then frame 120, 200 etc,

cheers,
nick
