Anyone using MXO here ?Posted by tommi.ojamo@luukku
It is capable of making your Apple 23" or Dell 24" display an HD color correction monitor...as well as giving you the ability to output your project to a variety of decks. HDV monitoring...DVCPRO HD monitoring...LOTS of stuff:

Playback performance in terms of how many streams all depends on the hard drives you have the media stored on, not the capture card you use. Need 2-3 streams of RT, then you are going to need a 2-4 drive eSATA Raid. A Firewire 800 drive might get you two streams...possibly 3.
The MXO is format agnostic, meaning that it will output any format that FCP works with...including XDCAM. www.shanerosseditor.com Listen to THE EDIT BAY Podcast on iTunes [itunes.apple.com]
The MXO will downconvert HD to SD, and play back regular SD as well.

Sorry about the language ;
Mulla ollut käytössä about 2 kk. I got one here, setting up a testbed.
Version 2.0 software has just been released. It apparently supports *older* 23"-- and 20" Cinema Displays as well, with ADC to DVI adapters-- Matrox says it's betatetsing these inhouse without issues. Well, we'll see. - Loren Today's FCP 4 / 5 keytip: Fast scan your clips or timeline with Control-F12 ! Go slower with lower F keys. What stuff is a "bit more demanding" than DVCPRO HD and HDV? I have tested it with those formats and a whole slew of plugins...looks great.
