Capturing Non Drop-Frame Media changes logged in & out points?

Hi, I'm wondering what to do to remedy this problem if media captured brought up the warning that I was about to capture non drop-frame media to a drop-frame clip. I was not even aware that you had the option of capturing non-drop frame media into FCP.
The problem I'm running into is when I export EDL's of my sequence. They are inaccurate.
