p2 card pixalation

I am having some white pixalation on some footage that I copied from a P2 card to my two external Other World Computers external 500 gig firewire hard drives. How can I avoid this? Should I only use internal hard drives? If I get a new computer are the new Hitachi internal 1 terabyte hard drives reliable? Should I wait or should I buy the new 8process new macs? Thanks

nothing you mention has anything to do with the other... can you describe the "pixalation (pixelation)"?
