I imported a Final Cut Movie (Quicktime Export from another project) to an NTSC DV project.
FCP 5.0.4, Tiger, QT7.
It's a minute and 40 and plays beautifully
I applied a 4-point Garbage Matte to the whole thing and then applied the proc-amp filter to further reduce the black levels to make compressing easier.
When I screened the timeline, I had created what looks like three group flashes of "tape error" in the video.
Original Undamaged Video:
Two screen grabs typical of the damage.
If I unrender the timeline, it all goes away.
