Video 'snags,' slows and is pixelated...

Brand new user to these forums as they come highly recommended!

I've run into some issues with the latest project I'm working on. During some parts of the video, it slows down as if it has caught something that's snagged it. In other parts, it appears pixelated rather than nice and smooth. It's like this thru out the entire video, but not all of it, mainly the parts where this is movement.

I played back the video in the viewer (unedited) & have noticed the same problems.

I played my tapes back on another monitor to verify that it wasn't a tape issue. It isn't.

I've run into no issues with previous projects, everything has run fine and smooth. Could this be a capture problem?

Also... this looks TONS worse on DVD.

G5 - 10.4 - FCP, 250gb HD, 2.5 RAM
